I’m excited to announce that Hope4Gabe is partnering with me to make the Race Across America its kickoff Ride4Gabe event for 2017. It’s only the kickoff, though, because after the race ends, and after we’ve made it back home to Alabama, we’ll also be organizing a ride out of Chelsea on July 1st that you don’t want to miss!
Ride4Gabe is an event that the H4G foundation (http://hopeforgabe.org) uses to raise awareness of their mission to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a terminal genetic disease that affects 1 in 3500 boys, including Gabe Griffin from Chelsea, Alabama. Ride4Gabe has traveled the country from Oregon to Alabama, from Maine to Alabama, and now from California to Maryland! Check out the map below to see the states that Race Across America will add to the list of states Ride4Gabe has visited to bring awareness about DMD.
I will be posting blog updates on our travels out to California for the start of the race at http://toone2017.com/ so bookmark that blog instead of this one. Also, we will be updating http://ride4gabe.com for 2017 soon. Check us out on Facebook and Instagram, too!
